Why Was This Body Wash Made?

We’ve talked about how the men’s body wash market is really dominated by Axe, Old Spice, and Jack Black and for good reason - they make a very nice-smelling body wash that lingers on your skin, with Axe and Old Spice delivering in value. Billy Jealousy’s Ocean Front Hand and Body Wash came across our desks and we were curious to see if the Big Three could be taken down. The color of blue mouthwash, this body wash felt too watery for our tastes and smelled like Dollar Store detergent. It is supposed to have biodegradable exfoliation particles to exfoliate, but we didn’t see any at all. It’s products like this that feel like a name was just slapped onto a product that didn’t undergo any QA. At that point, the other ingredients - vitamin E, panthenol, and ginseng extract - didn’t move the needle. And for $36, this becomes even more of a bad attempt at body wash. The Big Three reign for a reason - this is a major pass.
