The Most Revolutionary Shampoo We’ve Ever Tried

We received this product as a gift from Modern Mammals. Any products received as gifts are disclosed.

If you’re not one of those guys who use body wash for their hair, the only special shampoo you’ve probably used is Head & Shoulders for dandruff. Everyone seems to want that elusive head of thick, soft hair, and tries a mix of products to get it. The problem with lots of shampoos is that they strip your hair of natural oils leading to problems like dry, damaged hair, an itchy scalp, and/or excess oil production. That’s where Modern Mammals steps in. Rather than remove your hair’s natural oils and then re-coat it (shampooing and conditioning and/or applying moisturizing products like argan oil), Modern Mammals doesn’t distort your pH balance like a typical shampoo would. What it also doesn’t do? Use lathering detergents that suds up and dry out your hair or leave it limp and frizzy. Instead, Modern Mammals’ formula is a minimal, aloe-based rinse resulting in a head that keeps your natural oils, giving you that ‘haven’t washed my hair for two days’ feeling’ - this is your chance at achieving Robert Pattinson hair! And we can definitely say it worked. We were worried that a mix of our natural oils and a week’s worth of styling products would make our hair feel heavy and, well, just unclean. But that wasn’t the case at all - this shampoo managed to gently clean our hair without power washing it into a poofy mess (case in point: that’s exactly what happened when we switched it out for our regular shampoo). While we thought we’d need to shampoo once a week while using this, the product proved us wrong: somehow it managed to get rid of all the bad stuff while keeping the good. We love that we don’t have to go the extra step either of adding in another moisturizing product post shower - our hair was left feeling moisturized, protected, and with a nice weight. Truly one of the best things we’ve tried this year.

P.S. As if you needed anything else but our seal of approval, the shampoo is also refillable which means less waste for the planet.
