The Under Eye Cream We’ve Never Heard Of

When we first received Air Repair’s Eye Cream, we were puzzled: it looked like a freebee sketchily given away by someone flagging people down on the street and offering them a sample. Yet when we tried it, there wasn’t anything wrong with it per se. The eye cream claims to contain a combination of ingredients to help prevent “chronic inflammation, or ‘inflam-aging,’ which causes dryness, dehydration, irritation, and premature aging.” Aiming to help reduce fine lines, this cream also promises to also help “diminish the appearance of dark circles and reduce under-eye puffiness.”

Star ingredients include:

  • Allantoin which helps to stimulates new cell growth, soothe, and heal

  • Aloe Vera gel

  • Eyeliss and Haloxyl which reduces appearance of under-eye puffiness and dark circles

  • Green Tea and Cloudberry Seed Oil to protect from free-radicals

  • And Tocopherol which heals, rejuvenates, softens, soothes, and protects

When we applied this before bed, we noticed it was a thick, finely whipped cream that went on velvety smooth and didn’t leave us flaky or red (though everyone’s body is different). It also wasn’t greasy which is usually one of people’s greatest complaints about a product. Perhaps its greatest sin is its utter forgetfulness - the packaging leaves something to be desired and the cream itself is fairly indistinguishable. Still, if that’s the worst thing about an eye cream, we’d say that’s a win.
