The First Mask We’ve Liked in a Looong Time
It seems like face masks are a dime a dozen these days (you can even get them from Target along with your groceries and home goods). But a good, GOOD face mask is something that feels even harder to come by. That’s why we were excited to try and share with you our favorite new find, Aprilskin’s Real Calendula Deep Essence Mask.
First thing we love? It’s made out of cellulose from the eucalyptus tree and it’s thick - this isn’t some flimsy mask that’s going to be hard to put on our fold in on itself.
Second, it’s infused with concentrated calendula flower extract that soothes and hydrates skin while nourishing it with antioxidants. And infused is an understatement - each mask comes with more than enough goop to have a wet mask and a little extra to cover areas the mask may not, including your neck.
All parts of the calendula flower were sourced including the petals, pistil, stamen, and calyx. Calendula soothes and protects your skin, while its antiseptic and antibacterial properties make it a powerful agent against acne. This mask also has orange peel and tea tree oil clear to help with the acne fight, as well as reduce puffiness and redness, even out your skin tone, and smooth your skin texture all while brightening and moisturizing your skin. Whew, that’s a lot already.
But if you’re extra concerned about acne, there’s also lavender and clary oils to kill any nasty bacteria lurking in your pores, and Texas cedarwood and balsam torchwood bark oils for further provide support in clearing away acne and help soothe and repair scaly skin.
We can vouch that we had sensitive skin due to lots of sun exposure and this definitely help with calming the skin down while making it feel dewy and moisturized the next morning. Basically if your skin is anything like this, you need it
