Why We Love This Basic Deodorant

We’re big on not gendering products around here: many of our favorite products that we’ve reviewed haven’t been found in the ‘men’s section’ at all. That being said, we wouldn’t blame you if you thought that Dove was a brand targeted to women (by that we mean there’s a whole line of products under Men+Care…). But we reached across the aisle anyway and tried their Advanced Care Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick Cool Essentials. First, this guy is both an antiperspirant AND deodorant and lasts for 48 hours, so if you can’t shower because you’re too busy doing something, you’re covered. But keeping it on that long also won’t irritate your underarms since its formula is also alcohol free. Our favorite feature though? It not only glides on velvety smooth (reminding us of a bar of Dove soap), but you smell like you just came out of the shower all day long. While we love our colognes, who doesn’t enjoy that scent effusing from their skin right after they towel off? In this instance, it’s green tea and cucumber, a nice respite from the aggressive scents of Axe and Old Spice and Speed Stick (which, does anyone use anymore? Comment below.). This is a buy for us.
