We Try That Italian Toothpaste In Every Magazine

It can be hard to resist the temptation of wanting to try fashion’s most beloved toothpaste - you see it in so many editorials and even if you didn’t, its packaging is enough to pique your curiosity. So needless to say that our second go with Marvis is disappointing in that it continues to be a letdown. We tried their cinnamon flavor that promises to be “enhanced by the refreshing taste of mint in a surprising, long-lasting aroma.” We didn’t get any hint of mint, but we also didn’t have our eyes watering from a too-intense injection of cinnamon (if you’ve ever had a cinnamon Altoid you know what we mean). Marvis’s formula is xylitol- and sorbitan-based which they say results in less irritation - for you, that means you’re probably not going to feel like your mouth was power-washed (like when you use a toothpaste with whitening in it). It doesn’t help that the paste feels a little watery, requiring you to use a lot more for an already expensive purchase. We’ll stick with a traditional toothpaste like Crest. Pass.
