The Answer to Body Wash Has Been Staring Us in the Face

Body washes seem to be the unquestionable standard in what guys choose to use to clean up, with Old Spice and Axe being the brands found in every locker room and shower. Yet if you’ve used Epsom salts or even tried a bath bomb, we boldly suggest that the humble soap bar is the new way to enrich your bathing experience even if you only have time for a shower.

Let’s face it - the differences between all of Old Spice’s and Axe’s body washes are subtle twists on musk. But soap bars offer limitless options and with a brand like Pacha, the lack of packaging allows you to choose what smells good to you versus what is being artificially constructed as a masculine or feminine scent. Our favorite is their Pachafetti, crafted from scraps of all of their other soaps in the soap making process so nothing goes to waste. Scented with lemongrass and peppermint essential oils and made with sustainably produced palm oil, wild harvested unrefined Shea butter, and hydrating castor seed oil, it reminded us of Fruity Pebbles without smelling like a literal Yankee Candle recreation. It’s also the perfect size and weight to fit in your hand and creates a nice creamy lather that rinses clean without drying you out.

Pacha does good too: every purchase helps with clean water initiatives and small-scale soap shops in developing countries while boosting the local economy within their own communities. This is a buy.

Free of: parabens, harsh surfactants, sulfates, propylene glycol, phthalates, petro-chemicals
