PSA: Shaving Cream Doesn’t Have to Foam

Founded in 2004, Billy Jealousy is “a proxy for the modern American man: urbane, independent, enterprising, irreverent.” Right. (Why do we feel a dotted line was drawn from the words “Goose” and “Maverick” to “Jonny Cage” and “Sonya Blade” in some free association brainstorm that went unchecked?) Their Hydroplane Super Slick Shave Cream has a texture like Neosporin or Neutrogena’s spot treatment - thick, white, and lotion-like, it certainly didn’t feel like a traditional shaving cream. While the foam was certainly missing from the experience, it didn’t stop us from achieving a close shave. Instead, the dimethicone - a water-soluble organic micro-silicone - helped us to achieve an extremely smooth, frictionless motion without the nicks and cuts, capped off with a faint citrus scent. And isn’t that what every guy wants?
