The Best Water Bottle Is…

Nalgene Wide Mouth, $11.99

Price point: Medium

The Nalgene Wide Mouth. We know there are a lot of options out there today but hear us out. What we love about the Nalgene is its affordability that doesn’t sacrifice quality. Its utilitarian design (it was, after all, originally designed for laboratory use) means you can easily monitor how much water you’re drinking so you can get your recommended 3.7 liters per day: those straightforward tick marks on the side kind of remind us of what’s going on now at Off White, making it easy to “HYDRATE.” Nalgene’s array of colors also means you can personalize it to your taste like buying a pair of custom New Balance sneakers.

Aside from style, this thing is pretty indestructible, so it can be dropped or knocked around without having to worry about it holding up. The wide mouth makes it easy to drink from and clean, while the screw on cap with the generous plastic attachment gives you another way to carry it. But perhaps the best thing that many people don’t know about is Nalgene’s accessories which extend the bottle’s value while making it the Lego of water bottles. Options for caps alone various different colored wide mouth caps to switch up the color combinations, a cap with a straw if that’s your preferred way to sip, a cap to hold your pills, and a cap with sip lid which is great for those who like flavoring their water with fruit. Nalgene also sells insulated sleeves if you like your beverage ice cold, and Peregrine sells bottle belts so you can clip your bottle. Our favorite accessory? The stickers.
