Hey, Does Sprouts Have a Self-care Line?

No one would blame if you thought that this face wash by Lavido is the hero product of Sprouts’ own self-care line. Originating from the Galilee valley, a remote, untouched region of Israel, Lavido was launched in 2003 by plant chemist Ido Mahal from a passion for herbal chemistry. Ido grew up studying herbal and plant chemistry and with a love of nature and plants, he began farming his land in the heart of the Galilee’s Jezreel Valley in Israel to study and practice herbal medicine.

Notably, Lavido grows many of their own ingredients in their Botanical Sanctuary in Israel that is also a renowned Education Center and we were reminded of Davines. But what we love even more is that their formulations are validated through methodical 3rd party dermatologist and clinical testing to prove that organic and natural products can rival the results of conventional products and standards.

We tried their Thera Intensive Oil Control Clarifying Gel Wash which is a clear gel about the consistency of Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Cleanser. This guy however smells much better. At first, its scent profile reminded us of the Acure scrub we love so much, but it quickly changes into something warmer and herbaceous - that’s the cinnamon, sage, and spearmint at work. It’s also got salicylic acid, all of which helps to balance oily skin. The result is oil-free, matte skin that doesn’t feel stripped or dry at all.

We 1000% endorse this.
