These Jack Black Products Are Its Serena and Venus

Jack Black is fairly consistent at turning out quality products - this we know. After having used their Turbo Wash which is advertised as being for hair and body, we were confused about why their All Over Wash exists, advertised for hair, body, AND face. Can’t I just used by Turbo Wash on my face too? Our initial thoughts exactly. Except that your face is different than the rest of your body: unlike the skin on the majority of your body, the skin on your face is almost always in direct contact with the sun and is particularly thin, thus making it even more susceptible to aging; it also has smaller skin cells and more oil glands. So, alas, you should be washing your face with something that treats it differently than the rest of your body, especially if you know what type of skin you have: something that strips your face of oil when you have oily skin can make it produce even more oil! All Over Wash is multipurpose and sulfate-free, claiming to have pH balanced cleansers gentle enough for face, hair, and body - i’s got a coconut-derived surfactant that cleans, jojoba protein, and also giant sea kelp, shea butter, and panthenol to soften and smooth your skin and hair. Its brother Turbo Wash is also sulfate-fee, but its star ingredients are rosemary, eucalyptus, juniper berry, and arnica extract to refresh and soothe tired muscles while opening up your airways. Both washes smell incredible and to the untrained nose they might even smell the same. But the the difference is slight: Turbo Wash is cool and heavy of eucalyptus while All Over Wash is toned down with key notes mint and rosemary. This difference in scent along with what you can use the washes for sets up All Over Wash for generalized usage and Turbo Wash for refreshening you after exercise. Oh that makes sense. Our only critique was that in fact we did feel our hair stripped and face especially tight after using this wash. No matter how lazy you are or if you plan on keeping this in your dopp kit only for travel, you’ll definitely want to use a conditioner/hair mask and moisturize your skin after the shower if you use this regularly, as well as utilize a facial cleanser post shower like CeraVe. We guess it’s probably impossible to create a product that effectively works for hair, face, and body which all come with their own set of needs. What we did like was how thick the gel was compared to brands like Old Spice and Axe and how unusual its scent was. Despite those small hiccups, like Serena and Venus, both washes are GOATs.
