A Hair Mask With Avocado, Banana, and Coconut?

With an ingredient list boasting avocado oil, banana, coconut milk, and agave, we felt healthier just by looking at the label. Like drinking-a-fresh-pressed-green-juice-after-pilates healthy. So we were more than let down by Raw Sugar’s hair mask, especially since it promised to provide strength, hydration, and shine to our hair. This thick, chunky white cream has the consistency of Gold Bond’s Ultimate Healing Lotion (which is an amazing product), providing a bit of resistance in moving it through your tresses. After shampooing, it says to apply and leave it in for 5-10 minutes which we aptly did, only coming out of the shower with the same dry hair as we had before. Nothing hydrated or silky about it. We even tried applying it to damp hair out of the shower and leaving it in for 30 minutes before rinsing it out and yet we didn’t feel a difference. We’re always looking for new products that hit the sweet spot of delivery and being of good value. This is not it. Go with OGX Extra Strength Hydrate & Repair + Argan Oil of Morocco Hair Mask which is more economical, has a far better texture and smell, and actually works (and quickly). This is a hard pass.
